Al= so, it appears that Dynon only supports the auto tuning feature of the GTR, s= ee below "SkyView does not push database information". It's not clear i= f GPS position data would be transmitted to the GTR or not, we'll see when i= t is hooked up.

You might have to pick if you wan= t position data or "TUNE COM" frequency tuning, if it won't do both. W= e might be able to "trick" the Dynon into sending position data instead of "= TUNE COM" data. And, perhaps Dynon will add direct support for the GTR= 205 in the future.

It occurs to me that (both) th= e Dynon screens will likely need to have their firmware updated (older versi= ons won't even have the "GTR" ). In my experience that can be a labori= ous process. Can you check what version firmware your D1000's are curr= ently at? Thanks.

Sometimes in Dynon i= nstallations there are RS232 output(s) that aren't on the screen LRU's that a= re preferable to use for interfacing -- I just don't know enough about your p= articular installation.

I will assume screen #1 so I just need to know wh= at the SkyView display part number is.

Looking at the configuration data of the dynon, it lo= oks like serial port 2 is unused. Serial port 2 is pin 5 for the= RX and pin 6 is TX (TX and RX from the dynon=E2=80=99s perspective) s= o dynon pin 6 connects to the receive on the GTR pin 46. The receive o= n the dynon pin 5 is connected to GTR pin 5.
